COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TWINE, FIBROUS, JUTE
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in lieu of Federal Specification T-T-911, for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description covers jute twine intended for general wrapping purposes.
2. CLASSIFICATION
2.1 Classification. The twine shall be of the size and finish, as specified (see 7.2).
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 Material. The twice shall be made from jute, in natural or polished finish as specified, and shall have the physical properties in Table I and Table II.
